Here you can find some ready-to-use barcode sets. The files are all in FASTA format, and can be used directly as input for the decoder (see more about this in Usage).

To get the best results, use a barcode set of minimal size (for example if you need 15 barcodes, don't use a barcode set of size 110).

These barcode sets were made using nxCodeBuilder, our barcode design tool. Input parameters used in their making can be found in the README file in each archive.
Bio-Chemical Constraints
All Barcode sets on this page were made to meet the following biochemical constraints:
  1. GC content 25% - 65%
  2. No homopolymers (such as AAAA) of length 4 or more.
If these constraints do not suite your needs, please use nxCodeBuilder to create your own barcode set.
